Being depressed can make us inactive. But there are  lot of ways to keep ourselves active and overcome depression. Changing our lifestyle, physical activity and also the way of thinking helps us to come out of depression

Here I have shared with you 6 simple steps that may help you to keep yourself active and stress free and also to overcome depression

Positive thinking:

Get up early morning and visualize in your mind how you want your life to be. Imagine the way of life you want. Think and imagine everything is good in your life. You are healthy and happy. Be thankful that you are healthy. Plan your day. List out the work you are going to do on that day. This habit will make you to do the work even though you feel lazy to do it. Later it becomes a habit and you will find it easier to do it every day.
Exercise Regularly:

After visualization, go for a walk. Slowly increase your walking time. Don’t go for 30 minutes’ walk from the very first day. Start from 10 minutes’ walk and gradually increase your time. You would slowly release your emotional stress. Sweat a lot.
        Do yogasana. It increases your flexibility and also calms your mind. It keeps you healthy. Do meditation. Initially you can’t meditate even for a single minute. But practice regularly and slowly you can bring your mind under control.
        Sing your favourite song aloud. Jump and dance. It leads to rapid breathing which relieves your stress. Do breathing exercise like anulom vilom and kapabhati. Kapalbhati gives instant freshness and relief. Follow this routine regularly and slowly you can see the difference.  Your mind will get new ideas to lead your life.
Self-care:

Go and stand in front of the mirror and admire yourself. Give importance to every parts of your body. Take care of your skin. Follow a routine beauty regime. Take care of your hair. keep yourself fit. Nurture yourself with nutrition. Dress up yourself smart with your favourite colors. It strengthens your confidence and enhances your mood.
        Ignore others opinion. Live your life. Don’t think about what others would think about you. It’s you who knows more about yourself. Do whatever makes you feel good, but only good things.
Eat healthy and be healthy:
       
It is one of the methods of self-care. Keep your food simple and healthy. When you are depressed, you may eat a lot or not eat at all. So have an eye on the food you eat. Look at your food. Let it be simple because your tummy may find it difficult to digest due to devoid of digestive enzymes when you are depressed.
      Eating simple and healthy foods protect you from gastrointestinal disorders. Avoid over spicy foods. Because, food also has an impact on our emotional status. Let it be less spicy, less salty and less sour. Add more fruits and vegetables.
Follow your passion:

Following your passion reduces stress level. It increases the self-confidence. You will forget yourself when you dive into your passionate work. Also work done with passion will definitely yield success. You will forget yourself about what others think about you. When you live your passion, your work doesn’t feel like job. It will ease your burden.

By following these habits, you will become healthy and glowing and you will start loving yourself.
