A delicious yummy fruit Sapodilla/Sapota/Chikku



Sapota also called as chikku has a sweet and delicious flavor. It is a great source of vitamin A, C and E.  A survey tells that Karnataka is the highest grower of sapota followed by maharastra. Some people do not like the aroma of this yummy fruit.

This delicious fruit contains antioxidants like ascorbic acid, polyphenols and flavonoids. These antioxidants protect our body cells from cell damage.  It keeps our skin wrinkle free and young looking.

                                         How to Eat?

The best way to have this fruit is to eat it as it is. Sapota milkshake can also be made by blending it with milk. It will be super tasty and delicious. It gives you a soothing feeling physically and mentally.

Energy booster: the glucose and fructose in sapota gives instant energy. So whenever we skip our breakfast or delay our lunch, this fruit can be taken as a substitute.
