simple and easy kuzhipaniyaram


I started making kuzhipaniyaram only a few days back. One day I bought a kuzhipaniyaram pan from one-stop. I tried out making kuzhipaniyaram by viewing various YouTube channels and also by getting tips from my mom.
I started making kuzhi paniyaram as soon as I bought the pan. My first attempt in making kuzhipaniyaram was not a success. I tried out the next day and it was good and from then onwards I started making kuzhipaniyaram very often as breakfast.
kuzhipaniyaram is of spicy type and sweet type. Spicy kuzhipaniyaram is an absolute morning breakfast. There are different methods of making kuzhipaniyaram and here I have shared one method.
It gave me immense joy when this paniyaram came out well. Enjoying and getting excited for little things is my nature. Here I have shared with you how I made this spicy kuzhipaniyaram. Let’s see how I made it.
A kuzhipaniyaram pan
Ingredients:

·        1 cup raw rice
·        1/4 cup urad dhal
·        1 teaspoon fenugreek seed
For seasoning:
·        1 tablespoon groundnut oil/coconut oil
·        ½ cup chopped onion
·        1 or 2 chopped green chilli
·        1 sprig curry leaf
Procedure:
·        Soak 1 cup raw rice, ¼ cup urad dhal and 1 teaspoon fenugreek seed in water for 2 to 3 hours
·        After 3 hours, grind the soaked items and make it into a batter. The batter should have the consistency of idli batter.
·        Add little salt and allow it to ferment for 12 hours. If it is summer, it takes only 6 to 7 hours to ferment.
·        The next day, heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves, chopped chillies and chopped onions.
·        Saute it until the onion turns little brown.
·        Add this sauted onion, green chilli to paniyaram batter.
·        Mix it well.
·        Now heat the paniyaram pan.
·        Add ghee or oil in each mold
·        Then pour the batter in each mold.
·        Wait until the lower portion gets crispy.
·        Now flip the paniyarams to the other side using a spoon and cook for 2 minutes.
·        Remove it one by one.
·        Now the spicy kuzhipaniyaram is ready.
I paired it with coconut chutney and sambhar. It was very tasty. you will start making kuzhipaniyaram often after trying this. kids will enjoy this a lot.
Nutrition:
·        Rice is rich in carbohydrates.
·        urad dhal is rich in fibre, magnesium, iron potassium, phosphorous and calcium.
How does this paniyaram help us?
Instant energy: Kuzhipaniyaram is rich in carbohydrates. it is great fuel for our body and gives instant energy.
Good for health: Since this kuzhipaniyaram is a homemade food. It is very healthy and light food and it is stomach friendly as we use healthy oils while cooking.
Bone health: Urad dhal keeps our bones healthy. It is good for back bones since it is rich in calcium.
Also good for aged person: old age persons can also have this paniyaram as break fast as it is a light food and keeps them healthy and energytic throughout the day.
