cauliflower roast and its benefits.


Benefits:
Cauliflower is a bunch of florets connected by a thick core. It is a good source of dietary fibre and has anti-inflammatory property. It is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, folate and manganese. Simple and yet tasty way to add cauliflower in our diet is roasting it.
Here is simple way of roasting cauliflower.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1 tablespoon chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Gingelly oil/coconut oil for seasoning
  • Salt to taste
How to make?
1.    Separate the florets in cauliflower and put in Hot water for 4 to 5 min. The  worms in the florets will come out if there is any.
2.   Heat oil in a pan and put the washed florets in the oil.


3.   Sprinkle some salt and turmeric powder and stir it.
4.   Close the lid and cook for 4 to 5 min. but stir it intermittently.
5.   When it is half cooked, add all the spice powders and stir it.
6.   Close the lid and cook until it is fully cooked.
7.   Easy cauliflower roast is ready.

It goes well with dhal rice. It is also an excellent side dish for roti.
